This Man in Congo Knows How to Live With Trees

Why would this man risk his life to climb over 130 feet up a tree and fight off an angry swarm of bees? Must be the honey! Using no more than a single vine, Tete, a member of a tribe known as the Bayaka people, climbs to dizzying heights in search of food for his family in the dense jungles of the Congo. As sugar is scarce for the Bayaka tribe, honey is one of their most sought-after food. Not only is it a deliciously sweet delicacy, it also provides energy and a number of essential nutrients. It certainly seems as though neither an army of angry honeybees nor the death-defying nature of his lofty climb can stop this determined tribesman from getting a taste of honey.
